London’s Soho is a culinary playground — a neighbourhood where old-school charm meets modern innovation and where you’re never far from an exceptional meal. Among its maze of cobbled streets and vibrant eateries lies one of the area’s most distinctive fine dining destinations: SOLA. Awarded a Michelin star, this elegant restaurant has become a must-visit for those in search of inventive, high-end cuisine with personality and flair.
If you’re looking for Michelin star restaurants in London Soho, SOLA offers a refined yet relaxed experience, with a unique twist inspired by California’s vibrant food culture.
While many of London’s Michelin-starred restaurants lean towards classic French or modern British cuisine, SOLA stands out by embracing Californian influences. Chef Patron Victor Garvey, who has roots in both Europe and the US, brings the spirit of the Pacific West Coast to the heart of Soho, creating dishes that celebrate seasonality, global influence, and bold, fresh flavours.
Think carefully curated tasting menus that highlight high-quality British ingredients through a Californian lens. Every course offers a story — a balance of creativity, elegance, and approachability.
SOLA is a tasting menu-only restaurant, and each course is part of a carefully designed experience that evolves with the seasons. Whether you’re enjoying the lunch menu, a perfect introduction to SOLA’s style, or opting for the full evening tasting menu, you can expect inventive combinations, precise cooking, and artistic presentation. While the menu changes regularly, it consistently reflects SOLA’s dedication to innovation and quality.
Tucked away on Dean Street, SOLA offers a tranquil escape from the energy of central London. The restaurant’s intimate layout and stylish décor give it an air of exclusivity, yet it remains warm and unpretentious. With limited seating, guests enjoy attentive, personalised service that enhances the overall experience without feeling overly formal.
It’s the kind of place that’s ideal for celebrations, romantic dinners, or simply a treat-yourself moment, where every detail has been considered.
To complement its food, SOLA features an outstanding wine list, with a strong focus on North American wines, particularly from California. Whether you choose the standard or premium pairing or opt for a glass from the list, each wine is carefully selected to enhance the flavours of the menu.
There’s no shortage of Michelin-starred dining in London, but SOLA’s charm lies in its distinct identity. It offers the polish of a top-tier fine dining restaurant without the stiffness, the creativity of a globally minded kitchen without being overcomplicated, and the relaxed charm of California brought seamlessly into a central London setting.
Whether you’re a Londoner seeking something special or a visitor wanting to sample the city’s best, SOLA delivers a memorable Michelin-starred experience that lingers long after the final course.
