Helmed by acclaimed chef Victor Garvey, SOLA combines fine dining with West Coast soul, delivering a truly distinctive gastronomic journey. For food lovers seeking something refined yet refreshingly different, SOLA represents a perfect blend of flair, finesse, and flavour.
SOLA brings something truly original to London: a menu inspired by the innovative, produce-driven cuisine of California’s Pacific Coast. It’s a region known for its bold creativity and multicultural culinary influences — qualities that are fully embraced at SOLA. Every dish on the menu is crafted with an artful touch, drawing on California’s diverse flavours, from coastal seafood to vibrant vegetables and rich meat dishes, all elevated through a Michelin-worthy lens.
The setting itself mirrors this Californian spirit. Inside the intimate dining room, you’ll find lush greenery, soft sculptural lighting, and a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere that transports you from Soho’s urban streets to the easy elegance of LA.
In 2021, SOLA earned its Michelin star, a recognition of its exceptional food, service, and experience. This accolade places the restaurant among an elite group of London eateries, and it continues to uphold its reputation with meticulous attention to detail and unwavering quality. Diners can expect a carefully curated tasting menu that evolves with the seasons, showcasing the best of British and international produce — all through a Californian lens.
Chef Victor Garvey, who has trained and worked across the globe, brings both technical brilliance and imaginative flair to the table. His dishes often surprise, always delight and leave a lasting impression.
One of the best ways to experience SOLA is through its multi-course tasting menu, which offers a carefully paced journey through textures, flavours, and presentation. Each dish tells a story, often combining unexpected elements in ways that feel both innovative and deeply satisfying. Expect plates that look like art and taste even better.
With lunch and dinner options available, including a condensed version for midday indulgence, the tasting menu is designed to suit different schedules while maintaining culinary excellence throughout.
SOLA’s wine list is another reason why it stands out for dinner. With a strong emphasis on North American producers, particularly from California, the wine offering is a perfect companion to the tasting menu. Guests can opt for a standard or premium pairing, both curated with care and insight to complement the flavours of each course.
Non-drinkers are equally well catered for, with an imaginative alcohol-free pairing that reflects the same creativity and refinement as the food itself.
The sommeliers are attentive, knowledgeable, and always eager to share their passion, making wine pairing here both educational and enjoyable.
For those looking to host a special occasion, SOLA also offers private hire options. The main dining room accommodates up to 32 guests, while the more intimate private dining room seats up to 16. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, or corporate gathering, SOLA brings an elevated touch to private events, with bespoke menus and polished service to match.
